About Me
Anna is an exceptionally versatile musician, performing a wide range of classical music as well as folk, jazz, electronic and traditional musics from around the world. Alongside her performing career she shares her passion for music through her teaching and community work.
She has been playing from a young age and continued to specialise in performance in her Undergraduate and her Master’s degree in the U.K. She is very grateful to have been tutored by Bartosz Woroch and Susanne Stanzeleit and more recently CBSO’s Colette Overdijk.
She explores many different genres with her various ensembles and in her solo career. Her career so far has taken her to Birminghams Symphony Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, Festival Jazz sous les pmmoiers (Countances, France), the Montruex Jazz Festival, and Greenman Festival. She plays in and works with various ensembles including BCMG Next Ensemble, Sekine String Quartet, Juniper Folk, Joe Broughton’s Conservatoire Folk Ensemble. She has done side by side projects with the Royal Ballet Birmingham Orchestra, Welsh National Opera and the CBSO during her time at the conservatoire.
Alongside her performance career Anna is passionate about sharing music with young people and different communities. She has been an assistant tutor for The Benedetti Foundation, an upper strings tutor for NCO and workshopped with the CBSO’s Stingcredibles. Specialising in general musicianship practise, she focuses on making music accessible, particularly in schools. Inspired by the Kodály method, she has worked alongside Kodály specialists Lucinda Geoghegan and Laurie Blundell. She has also developed accessible music methods online through the Benedetti Foundation and for schools around London and Birmingham.
